FILMOGRAPHY

1979 - HOMETOWN U.S.A. - this was my first movie role when I moved to Los Angeles. The movie was directed by Max Baer, Jr. (Jethro on the Beverly Hillbillies TV Show). I played a 50's high school jock. The movie starred a virtually unknown Brian Kerwin and Gary Springer. Brian Kerwin went on to new numerous parts on TV shows and movies, and Gary Springer was seen in Jaws 3. My line and my credit was cut out of the movie, and this became my first reality check that you can end up on the cutting room floor! Click here to see movie stills from this film!

1980 - CAN'T STOP THE MUSIC - this movie was produced by Allan Carr. I worked for Allan in his private Egyptian disco located in his mansion in Beverly Hills. I had originally auditioned for the starring role of this movie. Allan and Bronte Woodward the writer considered me for the part, but decided on Steve Guttenberg because his career was on the rise. Steve had just had a part in the movie, "The Boys from Brazil" starring Sir Lawrence Olivier. So Allan gave me a part playing myself as a disco d.j. in a scene with Guttenberg. 1982 - THE SEDUCTION  - I was cast in the role of the weather man. I had a wonderful scene with Morgan Fairchild. My scene was cut out of the final movie, but I still made residuals for years for my part. The producer, Bruce Cohn Curtis,  cut my scene for suspicious reasons. I see Morgan Fairchild every now and then at SAG meetings and we laugh about that set and what took place during the filiming.

Bruce Cohn Curtis and the Curtis family and I had gone way back. I worked for Bruce's brother Tommy at Le Club Zanzibar in Washington, D.C. and Tommy had helped to make me a very well known Disco DJ. The family was related to Harry Cohn the founder of Columbia Pictures. I met Bruce through a mutual friend when I was a tourguide at Universal Studios.

1985 - JUST ONE OF THE GUYS -  I had just finished a contract working on cruise ships for many years. I was visiting my parents in Scottsdale, AZ, when they convinced me to stay there for awhile and pursue acting there instead of returning to Los Angeles. I really did not want to stay, but to appease my parents I went to the Bobby Ball Agency and was signed immediately. I then began getting work in several local commercials.  I also taught acting at the Bobby Ball Academy and actually really liked teaching.  My parents were really pressuring settle down into a career. I took a job with MCI to pay the bills, and was going out on several acting calls, but not booking anything. I was down, broke and stuck in Arizona. I remember calling my agent at Bobby Ball and telling them I was giving up acting, and Patti Ball said, well then I guess I will tell Columbia Pictures that you don't want a role in their new film entitled, "Lady's Man". There was dead silence, and I was so relieved to return to acting in a small film role.

That began a several week shoot of this film. I had so much fun with a great cast. A lot of working actors emerged from this film, and some of the cast members are still friends of mine.

I was 30 years old, playing a 17 year old high school student! The film was shot in an abandoned high school in Scottsdale during a very cold period in the desert. The shower fire alarm sprinkler scene was ice cold water. I had a lot of fun during the filming of this movie. It became a hit and still plays on HBO and the Comedy Network. When it came out, the new title was "Just One of the Guys".

1992 - INVASION OF PRIVACY -   I was basically an extra in this film as I was helping the producer Bruce Cohn Curtis on the set as I was out of work at the time and broke again. I basically took the job because I had always admired Robby Benson as an actor, not to mention meeting the beautiful Jennifer O'Neill.

I had appeared briefly in the movie, The Seduction, also a Bruce Cohn Curtis film.
